ADA/OSHA Non-Slip Compliance Check
The Americans with Disabilities Act provides that all businesses must maintain their floors in a slip resistant condition.
Many businesses may be eligible for tax credits and/or tax deductions as incentives to comply with the non-slip ADA guidelines. Your Worker’s Compensation and Liability Insurance could also be reduced. You will need to consult your tax and insurance professionals regarding your specific situations.
Utilizing the same testing process as OSHA, MEASURAbilities, Home Safety, LLC tests the static coefficient of friction (SCOF) of your floors to determine if you comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA requires a SCOF of .5 for all public access areas, while OSHA requires an SCOF of .6 on walkways and .8 on ramps.
If you wish to find out if you comply with Federal Law Standards pertaining to slip resistant floor surfaces, FILL IN the form below or call us to schedule an SCOF test of your floor. Our test takes about 20 minutes to complete, will not disrupt any business operations and there is no charge for this test. Protect your health or the health of your employees, your customers, and your company.
